REVOW final conference

The final conference of the REVOW project was held in Copenhagen on October 7th. Participants were 52 from 6 countries.

Input revolved around the emerging scene for lifelong learning with an increased focus on competencies developed through non-formal and informal learning and linking them to the NQF/EQF, all as a part of the EU 2020 strategy. Challenges and possible solutions were identified through groupwork in 4 paralell workshops looking at: 1) Initiating and preparing a recognition process of workplace learning; 2) Job standards-aligning with NQF/EQF; 3) Defning competence standards for specific jobs, and 4) The role of guidance and support in the validation process.

Material from the conference will be available soon here on the project website.

Final Conference in Denmark on October 7th 2011

Recognition of Workplace Learning
Applying RPL methods in specific jobs and linking to National Qualification Frameworks (NQF´s)
Recognition of competences builds confidence and motivation to learn, especially if the employees can continue their competence development based on an RPL process. In this context it can be of great value to link RPL  of workplace learning to National Qualification Frameworks (NQF´s). The conference will focus on discussing RPL methods for people with little formal education who have build up their competences in specific jobs on the labour market. The focus is also on how to develop appropriate standards/learning outcomes based on workplace competences and how to link those to National Qualification Frameworks (NQF´s).  See Conference Draft Agenda under the "Products" section on this website.

Location: Kosmopol Conference Centre, Fiolstræde 44, in Copenhagen Denmark
You can register under " Final conference" on this website. There is no conference fee.
